On 13 May, TAFISA President Wolfgang Baumann attended the conference on Major Sporting Events hosted by the Representation of the State of North-Rhine-Westphalia to the EU in Brussels, Belgium.
Our President joined a panel discussion on « Major Sporting Events: Opportunities for Sports Development? ». Interesting discussions on topics around the impact of major sporting events on society, factors that ensure the sustainable use of sports facilities after the major event, how sports deal with issues such as human rights, the run-up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris and next month\'s European Football Championships in Germany, where the highlight of the event.
